Early Life

Singer, songwriter and producer Sean John Combs was born on November 4, 1969, in Harlem, New York. Raised by his mother, a model, after his father was murdered in 1974, Sean Combs grew up in Mt. Vernon, New York, and attended a Catholic boys school in the Bronx. He earned the nickname "Puffy" in high school because of his habit of puffing out his chest to make his body seem bigger. Combs would later take on other monikers, including "Puff Daddy," "P. Diddy" and "Diddy."

Sean "Puffy" Combs majored in business administration at Howard University, producing weekly dance parties and running an airport shuttle service while attending classes. He dropped out to pursue an internship at Uptown Records, which led to a talent director position. Combs rapidly rose to the level of vice president and had success producing several key artists for Uptown, but left the company in the early 1990s.

Entrepreneurial Success

In 1993, Combs started his own production company, Bad Boy Entertainment, working with such upcoming and established rap, hip-hop, and R&B recording artists as Mariah Carey, New Edition, Method Man, Babyface, TLC, Boyz II Men, Lil' Kim, SWV, Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, Faith Evans and Biggie Smalls. In 1996, Combs was named as ASCAP's "Songwriter of the Year." By 1997, Bad Boy Entertainment had sold nearly $100 million in recordings, and made a multimillion-dollar deal with Arista Records for management of the label.

After his friend, Biggie Smalls, was murdered in 1997, Combs recorded the tribute "I'll be Missing You," which topped the Billboard singles chart for six weeks and launched Combs's first album, No Way Out (1997), to platinum status. Nielsen SoundScan named No Way Out as the third best-selling LP of 1997, with more than 3.4 million copies sold in the United States.

Combs released his second album, Forever, in 1999. That same year, his recently launched clothing line, Sean John, debuted in America.

Controversy

In December 1999, Combs and his then-girlfriend, actress and singer Jennifer Lopez, were allegedly involved in a shooting incident at a New York City nightclub, where three people were injured. Combs was later charged with four counts of illegal gun possession and one count of bribery; prosecutors claimed that he offered his driver, Wardel Fenderson, $50,000 to say that the loaded gun police had found at the scene of the crime was Fenderson's. His trial began in late January 2001.

On March 16, 2001, Combs was cleared of all charges, as was his bodyguard, Anthony "Wolf" Jones.

In 1981 John Stamos was cast as Blackie in General Hospital. In 1984, he moved to primetime with the sitcom Dreams. In 1986 he made the transition from TV to film. Afterwards he was cast in the sitcom You Again?. Next he landed a part in Full House. In the late 1980s and early 1990s,

Early Life

Born on August 19, 1963 in Cypress, CA, Stamos is the son of Loretta (nee Phillips) and Bill, a restaurateur; Bill's father, a Greek immigrant, changed the family's surname from Stamotopoulos to Stamos. The eldest of three, Stamos has two younger sisters named Alana and Janeen.

At his father's insistence, young Stamos worked for the family's fast-food eateries. Contrary to the bad-boy image he would later embody, Stamos spent his teen years flipping burgers for the Orange County-based Duke's and Yellow Basket restaurants, as well as playing drums in John F. Kennedy High School's marching band. In 1976, he saw his first Beach Boys concert — a seminal experience for the avid fan — and at 15, he began to pursue acting and music in earnest. His parents supported Stamos' artistic aspirations, and although he intended to enroll at Cypress College in 1981, Bill agreed that Stamos should skip his first semester to take a legitimate shot at a professional acting career. Three weeks later, Stamos was cast as Blackie Parrish on ABC's soap opera, General Hospital. While the character was originally scheduled for a five-episode arc, Stamos' popularity and audience appeal transformed Blackie into the show's new mainstay.

As the sexy, savvy Blackie, Stamos soon found that he had become a Hollywood heartthrob. During his two-year stint on the show, he earned several awards, and was finally given full leave from his grill post at his father's restaurants.

Rise to Fame

In 1984, Stamos moved to primetime with CBS's Dreams, a sitcom that featured him as the frontman of a working-class Philadelphia band. The series lasted for 12 episodes. Still bolstered by his burgeoning fame, Stamos befriended his idols, The Beach Boys, and was invited to drum with them at their Fourth of July set in 1985. The Washington, D.C., performance drew 1.5 million people and the band, pleased with Stamos' penchant for percussion, used him frequently as a touring and session drummer.

The following year, Stamos made the transition from television to film, starring in the film Never Too Young To Die. The film received low box-office numbers. On the heels of his little-seen film performance, he was cast opposite Jack Klugman in the sitcom, You Again? The series endured a single season. Around that time, ABC began casting a new family-friendly show, Full House. The show centered on a single father (Bob Saget), his three young daughters (Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen), and his live-in support system — best friend and comedian Joey (Dave Coulier) and brother-in-law Jesse.

At present he still has an appeal for an acquittal pending.

His films Chatur Singh Two Star and Rascals failed at the box-office in 2011, while his other film Double Dhamaal managed to do well.
